The department of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation offers a wide variety of personalised physical, occupational, and speech therapy (services) on an outpatient basis for people who need help to regain their mobility and the ability to perform basic tasks of daily living. Our goal is to restore you to healthy movement. We use treatments that are clinically proven and research-based. These treatments can help you improve your fitness, function and overall quality of life.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy is a health profession that focuses on independence in everyday living by assisting individuals to: maintain ability, develop skills, restore function and promote health. Occupational therapists help their patients perform day-to-day tasks, whether they're recovering from injuries, have developmental or acquired cognitive disabilities affecting their motor skills, emotions, or behavior. Such as:

  • Sensory Processing Disorder (Tactile, Vestibular and Proprioceptive)
  • Difficulty in Gross Motor Skills (Balance and Coordination)
  • Difficulty Adopting to your Environment, e.g., Home/Work/School Modifications, Education, etc.
  • Difficulty in Routines of Daily living (Dressing, Cooking, Eating, Getting Around in Community and Engaging in Recreational Activities etc.)
  • Hyperactivity and Attention Deficit
  • Difficult in Visual Motor Skills (Drawing & Reproducing a Figure)
  • Difficulties in Visual Perceptual Skills (Matching, Distinguish Size, Assemble Puzzles)
  • Difficulties in Motor Planning (Following Direction & Initiation for Activities and Completing Sequence Task)
